Artcoustic Introduces Spitfire Q Series Cinema Loudspeakers

Artcoustic has unveiled the Spitfire Q Series, a new reference range of cinema loudspeakers designed for high-end private cinemas and fixed professional installations.

Positioned as a benchmark product, the Q Series combines the performance advantages of traditional line-array systems with the visual simplicity and elegance of a single, self-contained enclosure. The result is cinematic scale and output without the complexity normally associated with multi-cabinet loudspeaker solutions.

The Spitfire Q Series is engineered around a tightly controlled vertical driver architecture, delivering predictable and repeatable performance without the need for stacking, complex alignment, or extended commissioning. This design approach allows integrators to achieve consistent results while simplifying installation and setup.

At the core of the platform are two proprietary technologies developed specifically for the Q Series: Infinity High-Frequency Lens and Stretch Flare Control. According to Artcoustic, these technologies precisely shape and time-align high-frequency energy before it enters the room, providing exceptionally wide horizontal coverage alongside tightly controlled vertical dispersion. The result is consistent sound quality and intelligibility across every seating position.

“The Q Series is the culmination of more than three decades of experience in high-performance cinema and architectural audio,” says Kim Donvig, Designer and Engineer at Artcoustic. “Designed without compromise, it delivers exceptional output, control and scalability across private cinemas, commercial cinemas and professional installations. It is the most powerful and advanced loudspeaker range we have ever built—yet also the most versatile.”

Designed to deliver high sound pressure levels with low distortion, the Spitfire Q Series offers cinema-level dynamics with high efficiency. Artcoustic says this reduces amplifier demand and overall system stress while increasing available headroom, ensuring clean, controlled performance even during the most demanding content.

When paired with Artcoustic subwoofers, the Q Series provides a seamless transition into the low frequencies, delivering impact without sacrificing clarity or dialogue intelligibility. Built around RP-led cinema design principles, the Spitfire Q Series prioritises controlled dispersion, intelligibility and dynamic headroom, delivering predictable coverage and immersive cinematic impact throughout the room.
