It started with the podcast after ISE 2025

The platform began in early 2025, when Stuart and Simon returned from covering Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) and decided to start an industry podcast. Their goal was simple: shine a spotlight on the real-world tools, systems, and manufacturers that power professional installations, not just the brands everyone already knows.
By the end of 2025, that idea had grown into what is now HCA Tech Talk—a dedicated platform delivering informed, independent insight from industry veterans with more than 48 years of combined experience in professional technology.

Stuart is enthusiastic about leading the HCA's outreach activities and promoting the industry to potential clients. "After 20 years in this industry, it still amazes me how many people are unaware that there are professional companies out there capable of creating the perfect fun family space.” “I’m not against DIY solutions, as many of us in the industry started as hobbyists. I just want to help people by pointing them in the right direction, either to HCA Members or products I know and use daily."

With nearly 27 years in the industry, Simon is dedicated to supporting and promoting the wider home cinema community. Through interviews and podcasts, he actively assists fellow Home Cinema Alliance members by sharing knowledge and insights and by “spreading the word.”
Outside of work, Simon enjoys most sports and is an enthusiastic gamer.
