Barcelona, Spain — 27 January 2026 — ASCENDO Immersive Audio, a leader in luxury immersive audio solutions, today announced the debut of its THE8 PRO PASSIVE LED WEDGE Speaker at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, taking place 3–6 February in Barcelona.
Designed specifically for high-performance immersive audio in intimate LED-wall spaces, THE8 PRO is ideal for home cinemas, premium screening rooms, and post-production facilities where space is limited but sonic expectations are uncompromising.
Purpose-Built for the Realities of LED Installations
Entertainment spaces are evolving rapidly. Screens are growing larger, LED walls are becoming thinner, and the available space above and below displays continues to shrink—all while architectural design demands clean, uncluttered surfaces. At the same time, audio performance cannot be compromised: dialogue must stay locked to the image, pans must be precise, and dynamics must feel effortless across every seat.
Delivering reference-level imaging and impact in these space-constrained environments has become one of the biggest challenges in modern system design.
THE8 PRO was engineered around this new installation reality. Its shallow enclosure delivers high SPL and controlled performance from a minimal depth, while its reduced height allows designers to maximise screen area—often wall-to-wall—without sacrificing acoustic integrity.

Point-Source Design for a Cohesive Front Soundstage
Rooted in ASCENDO’s point-source coaxial expertise and incorporating the multi-entry waveguide concept introduced with THE HALO 10, THE8 PRO restores coherence to the front soundstage. By allowing mid and high frequencies to share a single waveguide, the system behaves like a true point source—maintaining precise timing on- and off-axis and ensuring consistent directivity through the crossover region.
The result is audio that locks seamlessly into place: anchored dialogue, believable pans, and a continuous, immersive soundstage.
This point-source coherence ensures that pans are perceived as smooth, uninterrupted motion rather than transitions between drivers—allowing creative intent to translate reliably across listening positions. That consistency makes THE8 PRO as compelling in studios and screening rooms as it is in private theaters.
Controlled Coverage, Optimised for Real Rooms
THE8 PRO delivers 100° horizontal by 60° vertical dispersion combined with a 12-degree wedge geometry. When mounted above a screen, it naturally fires downward; when mounted below, it fires upward—directing energy toward the audience rather than toward ceilings or floors.
This geometry was carefully chosen to match typical cinema and screening room layouts, supporting spaces up to approximately three seating rows and about 15 meters (45 feet) in depth.
In LED installations where placing a physical centre channel behind the screen is not possible, a top-and-bottom speaker configuration can perceptually reconstruct the missing centre image. This phantom imaging approach is significantly enhanced by the precise timing and coherence of THE8 PRO’s point-source design.
The speaker features a horizontal D’Appolito-style woofer configuration flanking a central coaxial 8-inch point source. Dual high-power 8-inch woofers cover roughly 75–250 Hz, delivering cinematic punch and authority while maintaining consistent audience coverage.
Three-Way Passive Performance Without Compromise
THE8 PRO PASSIVE LED WEDGE is a three-way passive design engineered for both emotional impact and professional reliability. With a 75 Hz–20 kHz frequency response and up to 131 dB maximum SPL, it provides the effortless headroom that transforms loud playback into convincing realism—whispers that feel intimate, crescendos that feel physical, and imaging that expands the perceived size of the screen.
Integration Designed In
Installation is as thoughtfully engineered as the acoustics. Mounting options include:
Keyhole hangers for fast horizontal or vertical mounting
Side V-brackets for precise wall or ceiling aiming
Concealed 90-degree bayonet-style mounts for tight-access installations, even after screens are installed
A generous rear cable channel accommodates SpeakON connectors and premium cabling while keeping the enclosure flush to the wall.
Although developed specifically for LED-wall environments, THE8 PRO’s controlled coverage, point-source coherence, and compact form factor also make it ideal for challenging installations with non-acoustically transparent screens, as well as demanding roles such as top channels, surrounds, high surrounds, and other reference-grade immersive applications.
